With the college football season fast approaching, excitement is building in the Palmetto State as the University of South Carolina Gamecocks prepares to take the field once again. Running Back by Committee

With top rusher Khysen Therrien gone after an injury plagued senior season, the backfield is up for grabs. In addition to MarShawn Pryor, who proved to be a reliable workhorse last year, true freshman Jamal Mixon looks to emerge as a focal point in the rotation. The Palmetto native has already made a name for himself in the locker room with his dynamic performances in preseason practice. "Mixon has a different kind of speed and patience level, " former South Carolina running backs coach, Thomas Brown said. "He's shown us he can make something out of nothing."
